Red Wines
Gabbiano Chianti - fruity flavors of raspberry, blackberry
and spice make it a full-bodied, easy drinking wine, which goes brilliantly
with meat or pasta. $21.00
Bull’s Blood - a full-bodied Hungarian red wine, outstanding
for spicy game, roasts, steaks, and other beef dishes. $25.00
Placido Chianti – a little red fruit mixed with great
earthy and leathery undertones on the nose and palate, perfect match for a
hearty pasta dish with tomato sauce. $25.00
Bolla Bardolino – crisp, clean and dry; sweet cherry,
blueberry and ripe raspberry aromas are mixed on the palette with roasted
mushrooms and earthiness. $25.00
Bolla Valpolicella - good, robust basic red Italian wine
with a deeper taste than a Merlot; the sweet taste of cherries and berries
plus the subtle hint of oak makes a delightful wine, very nice with our meaty
pasta dishes and steaks. $25.00
Morassutti Merlot - velvety texture, packed with deep, dark
berry fruit and nuanced hints of cocoa, herb and earth with a soft structure.
$25.00
Castellani Biagio Toscana - (90% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon);
richly textured red whose dark, ripe fruit is offset by balanced, tasty oak;
nice even tannins on the long finish make it a great dinner choice for a wide
range of meat and pasta dishes. $25.00

with generous aromas of pepper, licorice and plum, leaving a soft textured
finish on the palate; enjoy with great gusto alongside beef, lamb, chicken

accented with hints of espresso
and dark chocolate, striking a lovely balance between fruit and earthiness;
packed with flavor. $30.00
Corvo Sicilia – lively ruby-red with garnet red highlights;
intense, complex, fruity aroma with a scent of morello cherry, airy and pleasant;
dry, full-bodied, pleasantly balanced winy flavor; excellent with grilled
and roast meats, wildfowl and medium-aged cheeses. $30.00
Bellagio Chianti – simple Italian wine; hearty and
warming with nice tannins and dryness; nothing complex or pretentious; good
with any Italian foods - bottle catches your eye. $32.50
Carpineto Dogaiola Toscano - earthy quality that evolves
into wild berries and cherries, exhibiting complex flavors of cocoa, vanilla,
cherry and coffee wrapped in a soft velvet blanket of tannin that envelops
the palate with a soft oak and mild peppery quality; lingering and persistent
finish; paired with first courses and white meats, but shows at its best with
full-flavored dishes such as roasts, grilled meats, cold cuts and Tuscan regional
specialties. $35.00
Cantina D’Abruzzo - red color intense with violet glares
dry, but rosy and soft - almost a touch sweet; a hint of a woody flavor (perhaps
the reason for the twig attached to the front of the bottle) that just adds
to the understated complexity of the wine; goes well with dinner (especially
a pasta in a red cream sauce), works well with snacks (great with a sharp
cheddar - or even better, a sharp Italian cheese, like a pecorino romano).
$37.00
White Wines
Morassutti Pinot Grigio - light to medium bodied in texture,
straw colored wine with a floral nose and delicate aromas of honeysuckle and
ripe figs; crisp acidity, excellent balance and a snappy finish. $20.00

with a light fruity aroma; soft and dry, well-balanced and harmonic; goes
well with fish soups and grilled fish, both sea and fresh water fish. $22.00
Dragani Terre di Chieti Pinot Grigio - straw-yellow color
with copper-colored reflections; the nose has outstanding flowery notes, intense
and persistent, turning into pineapple and green apple; dry, full and harmonic
taste, with a slightly acidic aftertaste which enhances its aromatic quality.
$24.00
Danzante Pinot Grigio - light, crisp, very aromatic with
honeysuckle and citrus on the nose; great with cheese, salads, fish and shellfish,
and poultry. $24.00
Orvieto Ruffino - pale straw in color, with a delicate, slightly
nutty aroma; in the mouth, it is dry, crisp and fresh, with earthy flavors
and a suggestion of pear, fading to a crisp and balanced finish; excellent
for any foods that require a crisp, delicately flavored white wine, such as
antipasti, soups, seafood and white meats. $26.50
Fontana Candida Frascati - clear, pale straw colored, with
a nose of pear and violets, rather floral and little mushroom; dry, clean
and on the crisp side; pleasant white wine best shared with breads, lighter
species of fish, nothing sweet. $30.00
Cantina Zaccagnini - quite crisp, with a mild nose and a bit of herb
and minerals on the palate; a reasonable amount of fruit and a nice citrus
finish; made from trebbiano and chardonnay grapes, from the Abruzzo region
in central Italy;
a good companion to lively Italian dishes, but has a clean, bright approach
that is unlikely to overwhelm a milder dishes. $35.00
